Officials and Club Management

The Clubs President is Mr Ron Downie, he has been a member of the club for over 70years during which has achieved a high levels of success in the game being Club Champion on a number of occasions. We look forward to his support, and guidance for many years ahead. The Clubs vice presidents are Bill Ogilvie, Michael Porter and Bill Lyall. who between them provide many years of experience and wisdom having all held prominent posts on the Clubs Management team over many years.

John Bell continues to cover the positions of Club Chairman a position he has held for over 5 years. He has just recently completed his term as the Club Captain during the clubs 125 year in existence

Brian Lawson continues as the Club Treasurer. He is now into his fifth year as Treasurer and is doing a fine job with the finances of the club during very austere times in the world economy.

Ronnie Taylor is Club Captain for 2010 and we all wish him well during his term of office. He will be accompanied by Mary McClean the Lady Captain for this year. We ask all Members to give them their full support during their time in office and be sure to be at their Captains Drive in on Monday the 5th of April,

Michael Fitton has resigned from the position of the Clubs Junior Organiser. He is also to relinquish the much loved role of club handicapper and will be replaced by John O'Bryan who is also Chairman of handicaps and competions for 2010.

Anyone wishing to take on the position of Junior Organiser please get in touch with the club secretary or manager.

John Young continues very successfully in the role of club manager. Do not hesitate to contact him or any of the club officials for help should it be needed.

Mr Wally Beldon will be joining the Management Committee for 2010. He has recently retired as MD of the International Logistics Company Mammoet and we are sure he will do his utmost to take the Club forward with his new Committee colleagues.
